Director Danielle FassnachtDanielle Fassnaught

Danielle Fassnacht has been the orchestra director at Lycoming Valley Intermediate School in the Williamsport Area School District since 2013. When directing her three orchestras in grades 4-6, she strives to bring out the best in all of her students and pushes them to achieve their greatest potentials.  She firmly believes that music enhances the lives of students – increasing self-esteem, confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Danielle started music at a young age – her childhood passions were piano, violin, and voice.  Growing up, she had some key inspirational music teachers who led her to get a degree in Music Education from Susquehanna University, where she fell in love with teaching orchestra.  She is currently working on her Master’s in Music Education through University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, PA.

Danielle’s passion for music education is evident in the way she interacts with her students – not only by teaching them how to play and love music, but also leading by example.  In addition to teaching, Danielle is also a working musician who performs with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and sings with the Williamsport Chamber Choir and Orchestra.  She strives to be a role model for kids, and looks forward to working with the students of the Williamsport Symphony Junior Strings!
