Roberto Plano returns to perform the beautiful piano concerto by Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg. Traditional folk melodies combined with the composer’s own make this concerto a treat for any lover of romantic music.  Another favorite is Smetana’s “The Moldau,” a symphonic poem evoking a journey beginning in the Bohemian Forest and ending in Prague on one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. The season closes with Stravinsky’s most impressionistic piece, “The Firebird” – a fantastic magic tale with a fantastic score.  Colorful orchestrations, exhilarating and exotic melodies make way to a majestic finale, the perfect way to end the season!
